Rapido is India's largest bike taxi service provider. As a component of this collaboration, Rapido will be available to riders at all metro stations in Hyderabad and UP, with the goal that they can book bikes and tempos for a safer and faster outing experience.
Rapido will currently offer bike taxis at all metro stations and metro riders can use this accommodation. Rapido is rethinking the concept of intra-city travel by providing fast and reasonable bike taxi services to the customers through its vast network of over 1,000,000 bike drivers spread across 100+ Indian cities.
In an official statement, the Rapido organisation expressed that it intends to induct 100 'female drivers' in the mega-city before 2022. They will be given an electric bike on rent to help them get their salary as per their accommodation. Collaborating with Rapido's objective of rationalising last mile availability through its hassle-free support model.
At an event organised to give away prizes to the winners of 'Metro Suvarna' offer for November, L&T Metro Rail MD and CEO KVB. Reddy said metro rail ridership has reached 75 per cent of the pre-covid level.
The MD also said that the normal daily ridership in Hyderabad Metro Rail is around 2.40 lakhs. L&T Metro Rail MD and CEO KVB Reddy said that recently the metro rail ridership had reached 75% of the pre-COVID levels due to a good increase in passenger growth.
To avail the offer, passengers must have an enrolled smart card mapped to the mobile number on the TSavaari app or at the station ticketing counter. Five lucky winners will be randomly selected from the eligible list and will be accessed through their enrolled mobile number mapped to the Metro Smart Card.
KVB Reddy, Managing Director and CEO, L&TMHRL, said, “We have been witnessing a decent growth in passenger movement recently which is excellent. For better last-mile connectivity, we need our association with the bike taxi service platform Rapido. Happy to announce that it will facilitate better metro connectivity for our commuters."
According to the terms of cooperation between Lucknow Metro and Rapido, if the passenger's GoSmart card is registered on the Lucknow Metro app, he will get a 40% discount for bike rides. However for a limited period, all metro passengers will be given a 30% discount for the ride. Apart from this, suburban people will also get 30% cashback for all Rapido payments through the advanced digital wallet.
The starting fee for the bike ride is Rs 19. It can go up to Rs 129. Passengers can avail 50% off on 30 rides every month. As indicated by LMRC, “All Rapido bikers are enrolled and screened. For the safety of the passengers."
Rapido comprises a fleet of 1,000 bicyclists, 400 of whom will be available at all times. "At every metro station, 15-20 bike taxis will arrive within 4 minutes of waiting for the incoming passengers," LMRC said in a written reply to TOI's queries.
